Jakubowicz: Cuts to Medicaid and Medicare will Lead to Longer Wait Times

In a MedCity News op-ed, MSSNY President Dr. David Jakubowicz voiced concern about cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, which he says could lead to longer wait times, fragmented care and the closure of medical offices. Jakubowicz urges Congress to increase Medicare payments: “We are deeply frustrated that Congress will not provide something as fundamental as full inflation-based adjustments to physician payment, as is standard for Medicare Advantage and hospitals.”
