The New York State Education Department Office of the Professions is warning licensees about a vishing scam impersonating SED employees or websites to collect licensure and personal information.
Physicians and practice staff should not provide information in response to suspicious calls, emails, or messages. Verify directly with the Office of the Professions before responding to help protect licensure records and avoid administrative risk.
