MSSNY congratulates Michael Goldstein, MD, JD, former President and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New York County Medical Society, on his recent victory in the Republican congressional primary for Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District.

Dr. Goldstein won the primary with 74.25% of the vote and prevailed across all 17 towns and cities in the district, according to the submitted announcement. Public reporting also confirmed that Dr. Goldstein won the Republican primary for Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District.

A Manhattan ophthalmologist and Connecticut resident, Dr. Goldstein has been a longstanding advocate for physician issues and an active participant in organized medicine. He has served in the MSSNY House of Delegates and currently serves on MSSNY’s Government Affairs Committee.

His healthcare priorities reflect concerns many physicians raise across New York: reducing excessive and costly regulatory burdens, prioritizing patients over regulators, protecting physicians’ ability to practice in the best interests of their patients, and supporting fair compensation for medical care.

MSSNY congratulates Dr. Goldstein on this milestone and encourages New York physicians to remain active in advocacy at every level. To learn more about his campaign, contribute, or volunteer visit his website at www.goldsteinforcongress.com.
