Share Your Voice. Strengthen the Voice of New York Physicians.
Getting involved in organized medicine can feel like one more demand on an already full schedule. That’s why stories from colleagues matter. MSSNY Assistant Secretary Bernadette A. Riley, DO, MS, shared her experience, describing how her journey began when she was asked to serve as a delegate to the MSSNY House of Delegates. Through that role, she connected with physicians from across Nassau County and throughout New York State, heard their experiences, and found a community that helped her feel less alone in medicine. She described her involvement as life-changing, not only for her professional growth, but for her patients and the students she now encourages to participate in advocacy.
Now, MSSNY is asking New York physicians to do the same: share your story.
These short, two-minute testimonials help colleagues understand what MSSNY committees do, why physician leadership matters, and how participation strengthens both patient care and the physician community statewide. Most importantly, when physicians see peers step forward, participation feels possible and worthwhile.
