NYRx Updates: Important Resources and Support for Physicians

The NYRx Education & Outreach (E&O) team has shared key updates for providers and prescribers across New York State. Highlights include enhancements to the Preferred Drug List (PDL), expanded 90-day supply options for maintenance medications, and updates to pharmacy vaccine billing processes. Additionally, changes in billing requirements for professional drug claims are expected in the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
The E&O team offers dedicated support to managed care plans, prescribers, and pharmacies with complex pharmacy cases, particularly for vulnerable patient populations, including those with HIV/AIDS and mental health conditions. Providers can also access resources on topics such as Medication Synchronization and the Brand Less Than Generic program.
