National Government Services (NGS) has released important updates for Medicare providers, including crucial changes and training opportunities. Starting November 18, 2024, beneficiary eligibility information will no longer be available through the IVR system. Providers must use the NGSConnex portal for all eligibility lookups and are encouraged to register for webinars to familiarize themselves with this system.
Additionally, the Fall 2024 Part B Virtual Conference on Medicare Preventive Services will be held from December 9-11, featuring key insights into preventive services available to patients. Providers are reminded to keep their enrollment information up-to-date and verify bank details to avoid disruptions in Medicare payments.
NGS also highlighted the importance of submitting electronic medical records via NGSConnex for faster processing, though CDs or thumb drives will still be accepted under specific guidelines.
