A Call for DOJ Volunteers

Your MSSNY has been getting the media message out that UnitedHealth and Optum have been gaming the system against physicians and our patients. Consequently, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) has reached out to your MSSNY leadership to ask if any physicians are willing to talk with them as they investigate and build out a case against these insurers and their subsidiary agencies.
This is an opportunity for us to help shape the antitrust actions of the DOJ. However, we need physician volunteers who are willing to go on the record and help the DOJ with first-person accounts of adverse experiences. If you have been hurt by UnitedHealth or Optum, please email MSSNY at [email protected].
This is not just for MSSNY members. If you are one of our interested readers from outside NY, this call for action is for you, too, as the DOJ’s interest is a federal case.
