MSSNY President Praises Veto of Grieving Families Act
Medical Society of the State of New York President Dr. Jerome Cohen applauds Gov. Kathy Hochul’s veto of the Grieving Families Act, saying it would have had “significant unintended consequences” for the “already struggling health care system.” Cohen added that the measure, which Hochul has vetoed three times, should not receive approval “without balanced provisions to bring down New York’s exorbitant liability insurance costs for physicians.”
