- What do you love most about being a physician?
What I love the most being a physician is to be able to sit next to my patients, listen to them, interact with them and their families. I like to be a part of their journey through difficulties and challenges and be there for them as a friend, healer, and a guide.
- What’s your favorite part of being a member of MSSNY and/or your county society?
With MSSNY, I have the opportunity to be at the fore front of physician advocacy efforts under the guidance of some of the best physician leaders. I feel empowered to be able to contribute democratically on healthcare reforms through the process of submitting resolutions and voting for them.
- How do you define success?
Success is a process of setting goals, working diligently towards them and achieving them and at the same time enjoying the process and feeling emotionally satisfied in the end.
- Tell us about something you enjoy outside of work, a cause you support, a hobby, a family activity, or anything else that is important to you.
I am a big fan of a sport called Cricket. I grew up playing that sport in India and love watching it. I am a part of Cricket playing community here in downstate NY and am actively involved with organizations focused on raising awareness of Cricket in America.
- What’s your favorite way to unwind and de-stress after a busy day?
Music is a big de-stressor for me; I enjoy listening to Jazz, Country and Indian Classical. I am a great bathroom singer.
