MSSNY’s New Radio Ad Campaign: Our Patients Need and Deserve Physician-Led Healthcare
Colleagues:
We need policymakers to make New York a more welcoming environment for our physician colleagues and other care providers to deliver patient care. As you are likely aware, there are several concerning proposals in this year’s Executive Budget that present challenges for providing care to our patients, including repealing authorization for MSSNY’s Committee for Physicians Health (CPH) program; requiring physicians to pay 50 percent of the Excess Medical Malpractice coverage cost; prohibiting physicians from bringing claim disputes with Medicaid Managed Care plans to dispute resolution, and permitting Physician Assistants (PAs) to practice without any physician supervision or collaboration after 8,000 clinical hours.
To make the public aware of the importance of keeping their physician as the leader of the healthcare team, MSSNY is running a public awareness social media campaign and a series of advertisements on the radio to encourage the public to contact their legislators. Click on the graphic below to view.
