Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa!

Colleagues:

Following my Happy Hanukkah message a few weeks ago, I’d like to extend my heartfelt wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy Kwanzaa to all who celebrate. May this season of joy and celebration bring you and your loved ones happiness, peace, and prosperity.

On Monday, Christians around the world will celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day. Our celebrations are filled with church services, gatherings with family and friends, and gift-giving. The good news of Christmas is that even when the world or our circumstances change – the message of Christmas is timeless. While we individually—along with the world at large—face challenges, Christmas gives us an opportunity to pause and give thanks.

On Tuesday, the seven-day celebration of Kwanzaa will begin, which brings a cultural message that speaks to the seven principles of Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith.

Wishing all who celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa a holiday filled with joy, reflection, and renewed inspiration in our noble calling.
