Are you getting insurance claims denials for care you provided while on call for a local hospital ER because you don’t have a Medicaid number?

MSSNY has heard from some physicians about this practice but we need additional examples so we can bring it to the attention of NYS. We have learned from some physicians that Medicaid takes more than 175 days to approve and administer their number once they have applied to Medicaid. This is resulting in claims—regardless of the severity of the situation—are not being paid.
