MSSNY Leadership Supports Humanitarian Relief Efforts in Turkey and Syria
Statement Attributable to:
Parag Mehta, MD
President, Medical Society of the State of New York
“Our hearts go out to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria and the devastated communities it has left in its wake. As physicians, our life’s work is to heal and to help support those in need. MSSNY leadership has made donations to humanitarian relief efforts in Turkey and Syria and call on other physicians and community members to help in whatever way they are able by supporting one of the many charitable organizations providing both immediate assistance and long-term support for search and recovery efforts. We are all citizens of the world and in times of crisis, humanity transcends all else.”
