Have you recently received a call from someone claiming to be a “DEA agent”? Beware, this is a common scam that has been happening for the past year and is still very prevalent.Knowing that the real DEA will never call you and ask for additional information is important. If you receive such a call, please inform your office staff immediately so they are not intimidated by the caller pretending to be a DEA agent.
Your staff must take note of the caller’s name, ID number, and telephone number if they do receive such a call. It’s worth noting that these scammers can be persistent and may call several times, so it’s essential to be prepared and know how to handle such calls.
