
Hochul Weighs Medical Aid in Dying Measure
Gov. Kathy Hochul is considering a bill that would allow terminally ill patients to access life-ending medication. “We’ve learned from other states what’s important,” said Dr. Jane Simpson, the Medical Society of the State of New York’s vice speaker. The measure includes provisions requiring patients to have approval from two physicians and allowing physicians to opt out.
