MSSNY concludes its Doctors Inc.: Beyond the Bedside education series this fall with a two-part webinar on Saturday, November 1, focusing on two vital topics for every physician: medical malpractice and recruitment success. Designed for medical students, residents, and practicing physicians, this virtual program delivers expert-driven insights to help participants strengthen both their legal awareness and career readiness.

The first session, “Medical Malpractice—What Every Physician Needs to Know,” will feature David N. Vozza, Esq., of Norris McLaughlin PA, General Counsel for MSSNY, and Brenna C. Gubala, Esq., Senior Attorney at MLMIC. They will guide attendees through the malpractice process—from pre-claim to trial and appeal—and outline proactive strategies to protect one’s license, manage risk, and avoid common pitfalls that can jeopardize a career.

The second session, “How to Get Hired: MD Edition,” features recruitment experts Colleen E. Donnelly, CPRP, and Amy S. Johnson, CPRP, sharing insider advice on landing the right role. Attendees will learn how to stand out during the hiring process, avoid common mistakes, and navigate employers’ professional expectations.

With live Q&A sessions and real-world examples, participants will gain the confidence to face both malpractice risks and career negotiations head-on. Whether you are preparing your first contract or refining your professional reputation, this program provides the tools to make informed, empowered decisions.
