Earn CME Credit and Strengthen Veteran Care at MSSNY’s VMHTI Conference
MSSNY, in collaboration with the New York State Psychiatric Association (NYSPA), invites physicians, social workers, and community mental health professionals to the Veterans Mental Health Training Initiative (VMHTI) Conference on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This virtual half-day event will provide participants with the skills and insights needed to address the complex medical and mental health challenges faced by New York’s veterans.
The program will explore a range of critical topics, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, substance use, and chronic illness, all within the context of veterans’ reintegration into civilian life. Participants will learn to apply evidence-based approaches for screening, treatment, and referral, as well as develop collaborative care strategies that strengthen continuity between medical and behavioral health services.
The Veterans Mental Health Training Initiative (VMHTI) is a statewide educational effort funded by a New York State Senate Legislative Grant and the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). Its mission is to enhance clinician competency in veteran care and ensure that New York’s healthcare community is well-equipped to meet the unique needs of those who have served.
This conference is CME-accredited by MSSNY and offers up to 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with their level of participation.
