Upcoming Webinars: Practical Tools for Physician Well-Being and Emergency Preparedness
On Tuesday, January 13 at 7:30 a.m., MSSNY will host Neuroscience of a Bucket List, a webinar focused on improving physician well-being through intentional, future-oriented goal setting. Research suggests that aligning long-term purpose with daily and weekly routines can reduce stress and improve overall satisfaction. Faculty member Jeffry DeSarbo, DO, a neuropsychiatrist and author of Neuroscience of a Bucket List, will explore how physicians can apply neuroscience-based strategies to reconnect with purpose while navigating demanding professional lives.
Later in the month, on Wednesday, January 21 at 7:30 a.m., MSSNY will present Beyond the Basics: Tailoring Emergency Preparedness for Special Populations as part of the Medical Matters webinar series. Emergency preparedness planning is never one-size-fits-all, and physicians are often central to decision-making during disasters and public health emergencies. This session will focus on identifying unique risks for individuals with access and functional needs, adapting standard evacuation and sheltering procedures, and addressing ethical considerations in resource allocation.
Physicians are encouraged to register early and participate live. For additional assistance, contact Melissa Hoffman at [email protected].
