Dr. Hari Shukla Receives Key to the City of New York

On December 29, 2025, Dr. Hari Shukla, pediatrician, educator, humanitarian, and MSSNY member since 2019, received the Key to the City of New York from former Mayor Eric Adams. The former Mayor called Dr. Shukla “a titan in medicine whose work has changed medical science across the world and improved the lives of countless children.”
Dr. Shukla’s career includes pioneering neonatal innovations now used globally, as well as decades of medical education and humanitarian service. His honors also include New York State’s Liberty Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States.
