OPRA Provider and Denied United Claims?

Are you a New York State Medicaid OPRA (ordering, prescribing, referring, and attending) provider and receiving denied claims from United Healthcare’s Community Plan? Starting in September 2022, all providers needed to enroll as Medicaid providers per The 21st Century Cures Act.

It has come to MSSNY’s attention that there are physicians who enrolled as OPRA Medicaid providers who are receiving denials for claims from the community plan. If you are experiencing this, please get in touch with Heather Lopez for further discussion and assistance.
