“Today’s US Supreme Court decision is tremendously important for ensuring that patients maintain the ability to receive needed reproductive health care services, including access to needed medications prescribed by their physicians.
“Last year, the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) House of Delegates adopted policy emphasizing the importance of supporting the authority of the Food and Drug Administration to determine whether drugs are safe and effective, and supporting legal efforts to ensure that mifepristone and misoprostol continue to be available to anyone for whom they are prescribed.”
