Dr. Jagdish Gupta Honored with President Gold Medal by the Brooklyn Medical Society in Bicentennial Year Honor
In a night filled with prestige, recognition, and celebration, The Medical Society of the County of Kings (MSCK), Brooklyn’s oldest scientific organization, presented the esteemed President Gold Medal to Dr. Jagdish K. Gupta. The event took place at the 174th President’s Dinner at Dyker Beach Golf Club, marking the culmination of MSCK’s Bicentennial Year Celebrations.
Dr. Madhu Gudavalli, the President of MSCK, introduced the distinguished guest of honor, Dr. Gupta. The ceremony was attended by 14 past presidents of MSCK, along with Dr. Parag Mehta, immediate past President of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). Dr. Robert Frankel, MSSNY’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees presented the President Gold Medal to Dr. Gupta, highlighting his outstanding service and commitment to the field of medicine.
NYS Senator Andrew Gounardes and Assemblyman Lester Chang presented additional citations to Dr. Gupta. Dr. Lance Austein, past President, and Dr. Donald Moore, past President and Vice Chairman of MSCK, facilitated these presentations. Mrs. Meena Gupta was also recognized with the Golden Charm as the 174th First Lady, acknowledging her support and contribution to Dr. Gupta’s endeavors.
During his acceptance speech, Dr. Gupta reflected on the remarkable achievements of MSCK during its Bicentennial Year Celebrations. The Society’s advocacy, dedication, and commitment to patient care were highlighted, culminating in the proclamation of May 25, 2022, as the “Bicentennial Celebration Day for MSCK” by the state Assembly and City Council.
