The Quick Learn Series

MSSNY and MLMIC have teamed to sponsor The Quick Learn Series (QLS) for Residents. QLS currently includes six supplementary educational programs developed to provide an overview of essential topics for medical and surgical residents who are nearing the completion of their training. Each program is designed to stand on its own merit or may be selected as part of a series.

Current topics include:

* Practice Options and Contracting Issues
* Medical Records and Coding Issues
* Regulations and Regulatory Agencies
* The Patient/Physician Relationship
* Fraud and Abuse
* Managed Care

These programs are offered free of charge to residents at New York hospitals, and are formatted to run approximately one hour, including time for questions and answers. The programs focus on topics that are not part of a resident's clinical training yet are extremely important in preparing physicians for practice.
